Gameplay Tips

• Tap a tile and then a destination to move it or swap it with another tile.
• Drag tiles between the tile bank and board when you want a more direct move.
• Select a placed tile and tap it again—or use a two-finger twist—to rotate it in 90-degree steps.
• Use locked starter tiles as anchors while you work out the rest of the board.
• Scroll the tile bank on larger puzzles to see every available tile.

Daily Twist

What is Daily Twist?

Daily Twist gives everyone one shared puzzle for each calendar date. Today’s Daily Twist is free. Results, streaks, and history are stored locally on your device.

Can I play when I am offline?

Yes. Mosaic Twist briefly checks its date service when available so it can verify the current Daily Twist. The puzzles themselves are bundled with the app, and an offline fallback keeps Daily Twist playable if the service cannot be reached.

How many Daily Hints do I get?

Free players receive one Hint on a 2-by-2 Daily puzzle, three on a 3-by-3 puzzle, and four on a 4-by-4 puzzle. Those Hints do not recharge for that puzzle. Mosaic Twist Pro provides unlimited Daily Hints. Auto-Solve is not available in Daily Twist, including with Pro.

Can I play an earlier Daily Twist?

Mosaic Twist Pro unlocks Past Puzzles, including missed-date play, saved historical results, and replay for eligible completed dates. Today’s completed Daily Twist cannot be replayed.

How do Daily reminders work?

Daily reminders are optional, off by default, and scheduled as local notifications on your device. You can enable them and choose a time in Options. Mosaic Twist will ask for notification permission before scheduling them.

Copy and Share a Daily Twist Result

After completing a Daily Twist, tap Copy & Share Result. Mosaic Twist first copies your complete spoiler-free result to the clipboard, then opens the iOS share sheet with the same text.

Choose a person or app. If the full result does not appear in the message or post, tap its text field and choose Paste—your result is already copied.

Your shared result includes the Daily Twist date, a color grid, solve time, twist and Hint counts, your current streak when applicable, and a link to mosaictwist.com.

• 🟩 Hint — a position completed with a Hint
• 🟦 Placed — every other completed position

The result does not reveal tile identities, rotations, edge values, or the solved arrangement. No image is generated or attached. Results shared from Past Puzzles omit the current-streak line.

Copy & Share Result is available from the completion result and the solved Daily board. Mosaic Twist Pro owners can also share saved results from Past Puzzles.

Mosaic Twist Pro and Purchases

What does Mosaic Twist Pro include?

Pro is an optional one-time purchase, not a subscription. It unlocks Past Puzzles; Custom Puzzle creation and Another Like This; unlimited Hints in Campaign, Custom, and Daily Twist; unlimited Auto-Solves in Campaign and Custom; and early play through eligible campaign progression locks.

Daily Auto-Solve remains unavailable. All currently bundled campaigns and artwork sets remain Free, and Pro does not promise access to future separately offered content.

How do I create a Custom Puzzle?

With Pro, open New Game and choose Custom Puzzle. Select a difficulty, grid size, bundled tile set, Match Variety, and the exact number of Locked Tiles, then create the puzzle. After solving one, Another Like This starts a new puzzle with the same setup.

How do I restore Pro?

Open About or the Mosaic Twist Pro screen and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account that made or received the eligible purchase. Mosaic Twist does not require its own account.

Where can I get help with billing or a refund?

Apple processes App Store purchases, displays the localized price, and handles payment authorization and refund requests. Visit Apple Billing and Subscriptions Support for billing help or Report a Problem to request a refund.

Common Questions

Does Mosaic Twist require an account?

No. Puzzle progress is stored locally on your device.

Does Mosaic Twist need an internet connection?

Campaigns, bundled puzzles, and saved progress are designed for offline play. Daily Twist uses a small date-verification service when available and falls back safely when it is not.

Does Mosaic Twist contain ads?

No. Mosaic Twist has no advertising.

What do the assistance tools do?

Check reviews the current board, Hint places one tile correctly, Reset restores the puzzle’s starting layout, Auto-Solve completes a Campaign or Custom puzzle, and Shuffle rearranges available tiles. Using Hint or Auto-Solve means that attempt will not record a best time. Daily Twist does not offer Auto-Solve.

Where is progress stored?

Campaign progress, Custom Puzzle saves, Daily Twist results and streaks, settings, and best times are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app may remove that local data unless it is restored through a device backup.
